We have a very cold climate in the winter, and in the summer it’s very warm. Our national language is English and French. The way that me and my friends greet each other is saying “hey” and what we did the night before. We go to school five days a week for 6 hours (9:00am-3:30). Our school year begins in September and ends in June.
When I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is get my clothes out. I usually wear skinny jeans, skinny jeans are just very tight, I also wear a t-shirt, and a hoodie. In the summer I wear a tank top, shorts, and flip-flops.
A very popular sport in Canada is hockey, for hockey you have a stick with a curve at the end, and pass a puck back and forth, between each teams end trying to score on there goalie. But I prefer figure skating, figure skating involves jumps and spins on the ice, there are also elements called skills and dance.
Some of the holidays we celebrate are Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and a lot more. One of the biggest historical events in Canadian history is July 1st, also known as Canada Day. It was the day that Canada became a country. We also celebrate Louis Riel Day, and the Olympics are being held in Vancouver, British Columbia this year.
My biggest goal in life is to go to Italy and study to become a lawyer at the Hamline University of Law in Rome.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Bailey. We go to school for five days a week and for seven hours a day from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Our school is called Richer School. It has around 150 kids in it. Some of the subjects we study are science, music, social studies and gym.
Our school year starts in September and ends in July. Also some clothes we where are hoodies, long sleeve shirts, short sleeve shirts, shorts, jeans, socks, and hats. Sometimes in the winter it can drop below -30c.
In Canada we speak English and also French. Some ways we greet our friends are “hello,” “hey,” “hi” and sometimes “yo.”
Some historical facts about our country are the Halifax Explosion, the creation of Canada, and the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Eric. We live in a small town east of Winnipeg and we have a small school it has about 150 students in it. We live in small houses that are made with wood and most houses have stucco. Our house has stucco on it, other houses just have side paneling on them.
The most popular sport here is hockey and soccer sport teams are cool cause lots of people would pay to see a good hockey game I even went to one hockey game myself we went and say the Manitoba Moose. The clothing we were is in the summer are shorts with a t-shirt and in the fall we would were long pants and a sweater because it gets cold and in the winter we were the same stuff but we just were ski pants and a winter jacket.
The language we speak is mostly English and we also speak French. I don’t know how to speak French. The foods we eat are from food around the world, but my favourite food is pizza. The music we listen to is pop and country and rap. We listen to lots of different kinds of music.
The biggest concern when we get older is to finish high school and to get a job and to get a good career. If you don’t have one you can’t make money. The most polite way to greet someone is to say hi and by. The religion is lots of people believe is god. The most historic things that is happening is the Olympics are coming to Vancouver 2010.
We attend school five days a week and the hours we go to school is from 9am-3:30pm. The most important goals in school are to finish it and have good marks doing it. The classes we attend are social studies spelling and science. The climate is in the summer is hot but not that hot because we live up north but not far and in the winter that’s what it is now but in the winter its cold. The holidays we have are Christmas and other.

In Canada we don’t need to go church if we want. We don’t have to be religious; we can just go about our lives.
In Canada we love our hockey; hockey is the most played and watched game in Canada. It is played with a puck, a stick with a curve and you have to get the puck in the net more times than the other team. There is also body checking.
In Canada we can listen to any kind of music we want to like. For example I listen to metal, death metal, horror metal, and scream metal.
In Canada, every kid has to go to school because if we did not we can not get a job with out an education or a not very good paying job. Some of the good paying jobs in Canada would be a governmental job, constructional, electrical, and being an owner of a business.

We go to school at Richer and our school day starts at 9:30am and ends at 3:30pm.
Our school year starts in September and ends in June. There are about 155 students in our School. Our school isn’t very big. Every once and a while, we have a school dance in the gym. A lot of the time we have dances at our community hall. A lot of people come to the dances.
Some of my favourite foods are potatoes, pizza, and French fries. Some of our favourite drinks are pop like Doctor Pepper, Pepsi, and Seven Up. We also drink water, juice, and flavoured water. Some of the flavours of flavoured water are raspberry, strawberry and banana.
In the winter it is very cold, sometimes it can be -40 and in the summer it is very hot. In the summer I like to have water balloon fights. We have lots of fun because we get wet and cold.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Shaelin Atkinson, I live in a little town called Ross, it maybe about 45 minutes away from Winnipeg, which is in Manitoba, which is in Canada. Our favourite foods that we eat in our country are vegetables, fruits, meat, and maybe some of the stuff that you might even eat. Around our country we live in warm houses.
The kinds of sports that we play are maybe the kinds of things that you might even play, like soccer, badminton, volleyball and baseball and maybe basketball and you guys probably play games that we don’t even know of.
In our school, the students speak English but a few years ago we had German people come into our school and its really cool trying to speak to Germans and how they speak back.
The kinds of rules that we have in our school are like: keep our hands and feet to ourselves, and be polite to the teachers and the people around us.
This year we had the Olympics come to our school for a rest because they had to walk to all these different places and they just had to stop and take a break. It was awesome that we had them come because we got to take a lot of pictures with them and we got to hold this Olympic torch that they were holding while walking around and the Olympic torch was kinds heavy.
The kinds of clothing that we wear are regular clothing like skirts, regular tang-tops, and probably regular shoes. Right now we are having winter and it is really cold, some of the kids in our school wear sweaters outside and it is like minus 25 outside.
There was this one time when we were getting ready for school and my mom came into our bedroom and she told us that that there was no school and we were like YES! School gets cancelled because of cold weather and snow storms.

ReplyDeleteHello, my name is Sreanna, I am 12 years old. My favourite types of food to eat are… Pizza, basically anything Italian, piroshky, perogies, chilli, and taco salad. The house I live in is one story, there are three rooms, my room, my nana’s room, and our computer room, my mom lives in La Coulee with my step-dad, and I live in Richer with my nana, the reason for that is a long story. I also have two cats, and one dog, my cats names are, Garfield, and Romeo, and my dog’s name is Jack. I have a little brother, well technically my half-brother, his name is Austin, and he’s turning two in March.
I go to Richer School, and it’s very fun, almost everything exciting happens in school, as for the town, it’s fairly boring, very rarely does something happen in town. I have quite a few friends, my friends are: Jaycee, Justice, Josephine, Crystal, Tristen, Brendan, and Willow.
Our school is located in Richer MB, in Canada, but sometimes we get new students from Germany, or somewhere in that area.
The number of students in our school is crazy! We have reached just over one hundred fifty students, sure it’s a bit small but to me it’s fairly a large number of students.
The subjects we study are pretty cool, we have science, math, history (social studies), English language arts, physical education (phys ed, or gym), grammar, music, health, and we’ll sometimes have stuff to do in the computer lab. My favourite subjects in school are, anything done in the computer lab, music, English language arts, grammar, and science. My favourite teachers are, Mrs. Fredborg (our regular class teacher), Mr. Muzyka (our social studies teacher), and Mrs. St.Gordard (our helping teacher), she like helps out with our regular teacher.
There are five days a week for school, and then we get two days off, our time period for school ranges up to six hours a day, starting from eight forty five, until three thirty. The school year starts during the fall (September), until the summer (the end of June).
The types of clothes we wear are all sorts of stuff from stores, and malls, depending on what types of clothes we like, and what’s in style. As for me, well I set my own trends, and a lot of people say that I have good sense in style. The types of clothes I wear are: Jeans, t-shirts, sweaters, and usually a pair of sneakers, or runners, but in winter I wear combat boots, and a down feathered jacket.
The types of music I listen to, is by also the stuff I like, you see I’m into hip hop, and certain types of country, we have a radio station called Hot 103, and it’s my favourite radio station, I also like to listen to rock music, so I also listen to a radio station called Power 97, both of the radio stations play today’s number one hits, there’s Beyonce, Rhihana, Nickleback, Mariana’s Trench, Green Day, 3 days Grace, and lots more, probably to the fact where I’d be talking about it for hours.
We also speak a lot of different languages, there’s English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and loads more, but our main languages are English, and French.
We greet each other a whole lot of different ways, sometimes we’ll walk up to our friends and say ‘Hey, how’s it going’ or ‘Yo dude, what’s up’ or even ‘Hello, what’s new with you’ all and all, we have lots of different greetings.
Well, now that I’ve talked about myself, I’d like to know a bit about your culture, and how you live, so here are my questions: What is your name? How old are you? What kind of stuff do you like to do? Do you listen to the kinds of music that we do?

ReplyDeleteHi my name is Skye F. Nolin. The foods we like differ, but I like Chinese or Chicken. Chinese food is made with different meats like chicken, cow or pig and some mixed veggies.
We all live in different types of homes but I live in a small white house made of wood and a white plastic and it is big. The school I go to is big and white building it has a lot of people, over150 people. Time that I go to school 9:00 -3:30 we don’t go to school on Saturday and Sunday. The clothes I wear are black with some different designs on it. Our weather is cold in December and it gets hot in the summer.
The Languages we speak are French English. Ways we greet one another with hello, and goodbye. I am Cree, we go into a sweat log and sometime we go to sun dances where people dance and pray. I pry to Mother Earth.
Popular sports orgames in Canada are hockey at the ice rinks which is cold but you get to have fun is you a stick you hit a ball in a net. ReplyDeleteHello, how are you? My name is Ariana. I come from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Manitoba is a province that is flat with no mountains; we grow lots of crops here. The prairie crocus is are national flower that is little and purple. This flower usually grows in spring.
In Manitoba, we get four seasons winter, spring, summer, and fall. The beaver is our national animal. It is a warm-blooded mammal that only comes out in spring. Our climate in Manitoba is very cold right now, but later in the year it gets warmer.
The school I go to is Richer. The days of school are Monday to Friday; the hours are 8:45 am to 3:30 pm. The subjects we study are math, ELA (English language arts), aesthetics, science, gym, music, French, and social studies. My favourite is science. The languages we study are French and English.
There is a culture called Ojibwa. This culture is where I come from. Ojibwa means a member of a large tribe of the North American Indians found in Canada. The Indians used to live off the land, meaning the used to eat bison. They used to live tepees. That is made out of bison hides and about six poles. Bison isn’t the only thing Indians eat; they also eat buffalo, fish, horses, and all sorts of animals.
The music I like to listen to is rock music. My favourite band is Paramour. It’s a rock band that I like. The clothing we wear is mostly made from one-hundred percent cotton

ReplyDeleteIn Canada we live in square houses with triangle roofs. All kids go to school or some educational program. My school is located in southern Manitoba in a very small town called Richer.
We eat a lot of junk food in our town like pizza, hotdogs, hamburgers, and chips. But back at school we do all kinds of work like math, science, L.A. In Canada we speak a lot of languages but French and English are the main two languages. In these languages we greet each other in a manner of ways but these are the most common in English, hi, hello, sup, hey, yo, hello, and shaking hands.
Some people go to church in our country, well a lot of people do but I do not practice religion. In Canada we also like to play sports. Native Americans in Canada created one of the first sports called lacrosse that’s a sport we still play today Canada is also the creator of another more recent sport called ice hockey. Ice hockey is the most popular sport in Canada, but we also play foot ball, soccer, and rugby.
Canada has a very large host of holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter but there are many more. Canada is also home to some celebrities and singers; we listen to a lot of music from the United States though like rock and roll, heavy metal, death metal. I listen to Rammstein.
This year in Canada we are hosting the 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver, it’s a very big deal to host the Olympics, we have hosted the Olympics before but I was not born then.

Hello! My name is Ahmed El Bialy. I'm in M.E.S. school. Egypt is a beautiful country. Our favorite foods in Egypt are fool, taamaya, koshari, and last but not the least eggs. In winter its windy, rainy, and stormy .However, it never snows here in Egypt. In summer it's very sunny, dry, and hot. We speak Arabic as a language. ReplyDeleteMy name is ali khaled, I am almost 14 years old, some of the more famous foods in Egypt are fuoll ( a kind of breakfast dish made of beans and tahyna with spices) and koshary ( a mix of spaghetti,rice and hummas with tomato sauce and onions), there is also junk food which is familiar to Egyptians. We in Egypt live in residential buildings, villas, and apartments, I live in a residential building which is owned by my family.
The name of our school is the Modern Education Schools a.k.a M.E.S which is divided into 3 systems or divisions 1-national 2-british 3-american.there are over 2000 students in our school, it is located at an outer part of new cairo.
At our school, there are all kinds of subjects but in our class we take English, math, science, Arabic, I.C.T, social studies and psychics. We attend school 5 days a week from 8:00am to 2:45pm, school usually starts from September to May with 2 vacations summer and mid-term.
Our uniform is nice and varied, there are green t-shirts and blue jackets with our school’s logo printed on them. Our weather in Egypt is very nice and it doesn’t rain much except in the middle of winter and is very hot in the summer were tourist from all around the world come to experience the great weather.
In Egypt we commonly speak Arabic but also practice other languages like French, German and English. Mostly we great each other like “ezayak” or “ahlan”. Egypt has 2 common religions which are very important to practice: Islam and Christian but islam is found more, I myself am a muslim (islam).
Most sports that are favorites in Egypt are soccer, basketball, handball and volleyball. This year Egypt won the CAN 2010 for the 3rd time in a row and 7th time in total. One of the most celebrated holiday are the victory of the 6th of October, the police force day and the Sinai freedom day 25th of april.
The music we listen to is usually traditional pop songs for artists such as amr diab and tamer hosny, but also we listen to enlish music and songs on mp3s and ipods.
In our school we forbid foul language or the student would be kicked out of school. I hope when I grow up to be a computer scientist or computer engineer working for a high class worldwide company.

I go to the Modern Education School; we're all about 1500 students. The school is divided into three systems; The British System, The American System, and The National System. I'm in the British System. M.E.S. is a large school of 4 floors, with three big playgrounds. We study Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language, English Social Studies, Arabic, French or German (according to our choice), Art, ICT and Music. We go to school five days a week; Sunday through Thursday (.Our weekend is Friday and Saturday) The school day starts from 8:00 am until 2:45 pm. The school year begins in early September and ends in May or June.
We wear ordinary clothing, like skinny jeans,shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, dresses, skirts, and so on. We usually wear T-shirts though, because in Summer the weather's really hot, and in winter the weather is sometimes really cold or warm. We speak Arabic, English, and some people speak French. But you can find many other languages spoken here as you can learn any language you like, since Egypt is a really cosmopolitan place, which is something many people don't know! We usually greet one another by "Hey" or "Hi" and "How are you?", "How's everything going?" And in Arabic we also say "Hi", and "Ezayak", "Eih el akhbar?"
The two main religions here in Egypt are Christianity and Islam. There are also some Jews and people who have no religion. The most popular sports here are Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and Tennis. We also play Squash (which is a sport close to Tennis) and Handball. We celebrate many holidays here, like Christmas, Valentine's Day, New Year's Day, Mother's Day, Ramadan, Palm Sunday, Easter, and many more!
We listen to practically the same music you listen to. My favorite bands/singers are Casting Crowns, Lifehouse, Taylor Swift and, Superchick. One of my favorite songs is Replay by Sean Kingston.

We wear a uniform in school and outside school we wear casual clothes like Quicksilver and many other things. ReplyDeleteHey my name's Youssef.(thats like Joseph but in Arabic)Here in Egypt we eat all kinds of food like chicken,meat,junkfood but we have our own special food like fuol(its a type of beans along with a type of mashed beans and you could add spices of your choice)and taameya(its the beans from the fuol grinded and mixed with something called khodra and then fried)and we also have a different type of bread which is baked in a quite different way than usual.As for desserts we also have all kinds cakes and pastries but again we have our cultural desserts like konafa(its a kind of dough shaped into a hair like structure baked along with butter and after baked is topped with honey and eaten hot and tasty.personally its my favorite)and basboosa and baalawa and atayef and kahk but i'm not quite sure how these are cooked.We normally live in tents but in this season there are constant sandstorms and tornadoes so we resort to an underground base where enough food is stored and we stay there until the sandstorm season ends.Got ya didn't i?I'm just kidding,Egypt is actually a very safe place with no natural disasters whatsoever.Normally we live in really big cities in apartments but me myself I live in house in a newly constructed area called New Cairo.We go to M.E.S(Modern Education Schools).It's located in New Cairo so it's really close to me.It's mainly one building but we have soccer,basketball,volley and handball outdoor courts.We take all kinds of subject like science,maths,P.E(Physical Education and known at some schools as gym)and more.The school is divided into three different systems: The Britsh systems which we are in,american system and Egyptian system.We go to school five days a week from Sunday to Thursday.We have to be at school by 7:45 and for 15 minutes there are morning lines in which we sing the national anthem,listen to the holy quraan and the principal talks about the school news and sometimes competitions are held.The school year begins at September and ends at May.Everyone wears the clothes that express him/her but mainly we wear jeans,t-shirts,and in winter jackets.Currently it's a bit cold here but according to what i have read above in your posts this isn't cold for you.In the morning it's around 20 and at night around 8.I bet that that's the weather in summer there,right?We mainly speak Arabic here and English as our secondary language and some people speak French or German.A way of greeting here is saying "el salam aalekom" but a more informal way of greeting is simply saying "ezayak".Most of the population here is Muslim and some are Christians but you shall rarely find people who don't believe in god.I doubt there are even any!The most popular sport here is soccer which is played by almost everyone,and Egypt has many squash world champions.Other than that we have all kinds of sports:Basketball,volley,handball,tennis,martial arts but its not very popular although me myself i used to play Judo when i was younger.We celebrate both religious and national holidays like Ramadan and 6th of October and more.Here there are many diffrent types of music and songs we listen to,some Egyptian pop and there are few Egyptian rappers and we also enjoy English music like rock and so on.We all have our different goals,some who want to pursue sports career an d some others.My myself i am planning on becoming an attorney.And we all hope that the world stops that war nonsense and stuff and just be at peace.Isn't that just easier?Anyway times up.Leave your interesting or creative responses in the comment section below,but thanks for reading my post,hope u found it quite interesting.

ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Nayer. Most of the food we eat here in Egypt is either fast food like burgers or hot dogs, or our traditional, home made food. Home made food depends mostly on rice, chicken or meat, vegetables, salad, beans, cheese, yogurt, milk, and bread. A lot of us live in apartments, only few live in houses. Our school is actually a big one. It has everything, except college. I don't know an exact number of students but we're
by the hundreds. We study subjects like English, Social studies, Math, Science, ICT and French or German. We go to school five days every week and almost seven hours every day. Our school year starts in September and ends in May. Clothes we wear to school are our uniform that is dark blue and green. Throughout the year, our weather is mostly hot, it never snows and it doesn't rain much except for this year where it actually hailed. Our national language is Arabic. Religions we practice are either Islam or Christian. The most played sport here is foot ball (soccer), also tennis, squash, golf and more. We celebrate Christmas, Ramadan and 6th of October. The music we listen to is pretty much the same music you listen too with our own eastern types of music. We greet each other by saying "hi" or "how are you?" but in Arabic.

Well let me see, food we eat, well as u all know we can’t afford buying foreign food so we’re now all watering our plants and actually right now I’m running after this cow somehow its quite fast even though I’m on my camel! Haha joking.Some of the famous Egyptian food we eat are: koshari which is a mixture of rice, pasta, tomato sauce, fried onions, lentils and a dressing made from garlic and vinegar. Yes, I know it sounds really messy and heavy but it’s actually quite good XD you should sure to taste it when you visit Egypt XD
Another food we like to eat is molokhaya which is very yummy!
Nevertheless, we eat many different kinds of food.
The climate is very hot here that we sweat non-stop! haa no wonder we have a Nile :P In summer, the weather is really hot and its very sunny. In winter, it hardly rains but just this Thursday Cario was surprised by thunder, lightening and hail! This rarely happens. It’s was quite fun!
We Egyptians learn French, English, German, and of course Arabic as well in international schools. In our school we choose between French and German but Arabic and English are essential!
We greet each other by saying hey or hi in English or ahlan in Arabic and of course many other words!
NO WAY! You guys wear shoes on your feet :O we wear them on our hands as hand coolers when its really hot! Ahahaha joking, we know what shoes are, trust me :P

I live in Cairo (The capital city of Egypt) Most foreigners like you think that because Egypt is an African country we're so poor and we don't have malls ,shops ,international foods and alot of other things! But that's not really true. Although a big percent of the population is poor, Cairo could be viewed as a cosmopolitan city! We have our own culture and still have alot of different cultures from all over the world!Some of the foods we eat are Fool (it's some kind of beans eaten for breakfast),shawerma (it's a type of chicken or meat that's cut into small peices and eaten with teheena), Teheena (sesamee paste) and one of our famous dishes "Koshari" (it's made up of rice, macaroni,lentus,humus topped with tomato sauce). We also have some other foods like burgers, fries, pizza, burritos.. etc. We either live in houses or apartments. I live in a 2 story house! on the first floor we the kitchen, study and reception area and on the second floor we have the bedrooms,bathrooms and living room. My school is called M.E.S. It has almost 1500 students. We take science, physics, maths, english, arabic, social studies and french in our school. we attend school 5 days a week. From sunday to thursday. From 8 am to 2:45 pm. Our school year begins in September and ends in june. We wear jeans, tank tops, tee shirts and skirts. The weather is mostly hot al around the year. We greet each other by saying hi, hey , esayak(how are you?) ahlan wa sahlan(welcome)and kissing the other person's both cheeks or shaking hands. Egypt is a muslim country. most people are either mnuslims or christians. Since our weekend is Friday and Saturday christians go to church on friday and sometimes sunday. The most popular sport in Egypt and in Africa is soccer. Egyypt has very good soccer team. We won the african cup of nations for soccer 7 times. It's a world record.that's all I have to say!

ReplyDeleteHi my name is Mark. Here in Egypt there are lots of traditional foods like koshary,shawerma and lots of other arabic foods. We also eat junk food like Pizza, Hotdogs and hamburgers.
The school that i attend is the M.E.S ( modern education schools) Our school is located in New Cairo. There are about 1300 students in our school. We take subjects such as English, Maths, Arabic and E.S.S (english social studies). School is only 5 days a week and the week-end is friday and saturday. The school starts at 8:00 am and finishes at 2:45 pm and the school year usually starts in september and end in the of May.
Here in Egypt people wear normal clothes like T-shirts, Jeans, shoes and hoodies but poor people usually were Galabeya wich is like a robe.
In my opinion the climate in Egypt is really bad because in summer it's really hot and in winter some days the weather is chilly and cold but usually the weather is warm and it never snows in Egypt!
In Egypt we speak Arabic and we greet each other by saying Hi but in arabic we say el salam alekom which literally means peace on you.
Here in Egypt we have 2 main religions which are Christianity and Islam but Islam is more common people can practice other religions but there are only few people who do that.
One of the popular sports in Egypt is Football (soccer) and egyptian people adore this sport. Egypt is one of the top ten countries in Football. Another sport that egyptians are really good at is Handball.
We celebrate lots of holidays especially religious holidays like the Islamic new year, eid el adha and Christmas. We also celebrate national holidays like the 6th of October.
Here in Egypt we beleive that we have to respect each other and treat everyone the same.

ReplyDeleteHere in Egypt, the most popular foods are: beans, and something called (taameya) made of beans! But we also eat types of food from all over the world, like pizza, burgers, steak and macaroni.
My school "Modern Education Schools" is located in New-Cairo, which is 30 minutes away from Heliopolis. My school is huge, it's formed of a big building that joins three sections: the National, the British, and the American, which gives the school a high population, there are over 1500 students in my school. I'm in the British section. We go to school from Sunday to Thursday, and from 8am to 2:45 pm.
In Egypt the weather is mostly hot. Even in winter it's not that cold, the coldest weather we went through this winter was 40F! Here, we speak Arabic and English, and French, and some people speak German. The usual way people greet each other here is saying (salamo aleiko), but the informal way is saying (ezayak)! Most of the population in Egypt is Muslim, but the others are Christian, and some few people are Jewish.
The most popular sport in Egypt, or the most played sport, is Soccer. Everyone likes soccer here! One of the most unaccepted things in Egypt is to pass by a person you know, and not greet him, or at least say HI.

You might have been told that we live in tents and move around with camels. But this is totally wrong. Actually, some people live in flats some live in mansions. However, we still have people in the country side who live in cottages.
I go to Modern education school which is a private, international school. It is in the fifth settlement in new Cairo. The school is so much fun; we have a lot of activities and entertainment programs. In school we study English, literature, Arabic, biology, chemistry, physics as well as math. School starts at eight and we are dismissed at three in the afternoon and this happens five days a week (from Sunday to Thursday). The school year starts in September and lasts till June.
In normal days we wear casual outfits as jeans, tanks and sneakers. As for winter our country isn’t as cold as yours. So, we just wear the same stuff but with a coat or something heavy. And of course pants and boots.
In summer it’s very hot all day long. As for winter its not that cold, it rarely rains and sometimes we have sandstorms, thunder and lighting.
In Egypt we speak Arabic as well as English and French. Muslims greet
each other by saying “el salam aleekom” which is an Arabic word meaning Hi or Hello.
Majority of people are Muslims. There is also Christians and a few of Jews. As a Muslim I celebrate our feast twice a year as well as our prophet’s birthday. While Christians celebrate Christmas.
Football is one of the most popular sports in Egypt. Since almost all Egyptians are fans of it and football players are extremely famous.
We listen to a wide range of music like: pop, country, rock, jazz, rap and much more. As well as Arabic music; this is really popular.

Well…we eat a lot of types of food, we have the traditional meals like (molokheya), (mahshy) and many more and we also eat burgers, French fries, hot dogs and all those types of American food. Most of the people live in quite modern houses in cities and towns but the poorer people live in small villages. our school is quite nice, I like it a lot. We do all types of activities there and we play many sports at school too, our school is in (5th settlement) , it’s an area in Cairo. There are approximately 1800 students in my school. We have many students attending our school because it’s big and the school is divided into 3 divisions, American, British and national. They are 3 different systems. We study many subjects such as math, science, P.E, social studies, and you can choose either to study German or French. We go to school from Sunday to Thursday. Our weekend is on Friday and Saturday. In summer it is quite hot and in winter it is fair but it might get really cold at times. We speak mainly Arabic and English as a second language. There are many ways in which we greet one another, we say (el salamoo alekom) or (ahlan) or even hey, hi and what’s up. We practice 2 religions in Egypt, Christianity and Islam. The most popular sport in Egypt is soccer. We have won the African cup 7 times in a row. And we also play basketball, volley ball, and tennis. We celebrate many holidays, we celebrate 2 feasts a year, and we call them (eids). We also celebrate (mooled el naby) which is the birth of Prophet Mohammed and we celebrate Christmas every year too. We listen to all types of music, hip hop, jazz, classic, rock, metal, R&B, and many more in both languages, Arabic and English. Everyone here in Egypt has to go to college after finishing school, unlike many other countries, we can’t just finish school and get a job straight away, we have to go to university. In our school we have many rules we should follow, we can’t bring cell phones to school, we can’t shout, we can’t get into any physical fight or even a fight, we can’t speak without permission and we have to behave in class. Egypt is quite advanced, everyone has cars and we never ride any camels. We have a lot of modern malls and we use a lot of electronic devices in our daily lives. The weather here differs, In winter, it's warm but we still should wear heavy clothes, since we have experienced a rough day of rain, thunder and lightning a couple of days ago. In Summer,it's really hot, we wear as much light clothes as possible.
Our official language is Arabic , some people speak English.
We as friends greet eachother mostly by saying HI or HEY.
Football is the most popular sport that is played here in Egypt. We also have many other sports that we play such as : Basketball, Handball, Tennis ... etc.

Hey Guys my name is Gehan, I live in a city called Cairo it is a bit populated but it contains all the offers and demands of any person to live. I prefer eating: Fresh vegetables and fruits, Pizza , Macdonald’s, French fries.. etc and our traditional food: beans , khoshary, Mahshy!! ReplyDeleteWe wear different types of clothes like: Casual and Classic!! In our daily life we were Casual: Jeans pants, T-shirts and snickers.. Although we were classic in a formal outing, or maybe in weddings. Climate in Egypt is Unique because, In summer it is hot and burning that’s why we were shorts or caprice and a T-shirt and Slippers… Although in Winter the weather is extremely cold, sometimes it rains.. Of course for you our winter is your summer!!
In Egypt the main language is Arabic but also we are capable of speaking English well and French or German. The best way to greet and welcome people is hugging and kissing each others and saying “ Asalamo 3lykom” or even Hey . People practice one of the two religions either: Islam, Christianity . Me myself I am Muslim!!.
I think our best game is football, Basketball and handball, I think you knew that Egypt won the African Cup a few weeks ago. We have a lot of green yards for playing football!!
Every Country celebrates the valentine in her own way!! In Egypt we Celebrate it by visiting entertainment places , or watching cinema; it means having fun and exchanging gifts!! And as well as our prophet’s birthday we eat candy and pray We listen to a lot of different types of Music like: Rap, Classic, House, jazz and Pop... My favorite is pop!! 13. one thing is the revelation of 1952 which changed Egypt from a kingdom to a republic , another is when we took back seena from israeal, last but not least the great fire of Cairo half of Cairo got burnt, fires were not extinguished because there was a conspiracy and these ppl cut most of the fire trucks hoses
14. My main goal in life is to finish school and peruse my dream of becoming a business man
